I hate the phrase “young, talented manager”. It’s banded about in the press far too much, and every pundit will acclaim any manager under the age of 45 to be “destined for big things” should they string together a couple of wins. It’s a fairly crazy scenario, but if there was one manager out there right now who deserves the accolade of “young, talented manager”, it’s Gus Poyet.

Brighton building their bridge to Premier League promotion

It’s 9th July, and Brighton & Hove Albion have already signed Bruno Saltor, Tomasz Kuszczak and Wayne Bridge. Vicente is on the brink of signing a contract extension, as well as strong rumours that the hottest English prospect in Jordan Rhodes is on his way to the south. If you’re a Brighton fan like myself, this just seems to good to be true.
