A Tale Of Two Strikers

What a difference a January transfer window makes. I know, I know, talk of transfers is one a penny during the close season, but I assure you, rather than being a future seer, I want to talk about transfers that have happened in the past, to highlight how important getting the right business done can be.

Perhaps being even more controversial than talking about old transfers, I also am going to compare Newcastle with Sunderland. Shock horror! Here I go trying to be as nice as I can…

Push It To The Limit(ations)

Craven Cottage is my favourite stadium in London. Barring the horribly narrow stairs at Putney Bridge Station, the seating is comfortable, the food tasty, the pleasant, although sometimes cold, walk along the side of the river Thames lovely. Fulham also play good football, and for an end of season tie (nothing to play for), the quality on show last Sunday was entertaining enough. Although Sunderland didn’t get the point they probably deserved, I take nothing away from Fulham, who have some dangerous players, and on a tight pitch, they controlled the game well.
