Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is proud of young left-back Myles Lewis-Skelly after being name in the England squad for the first time.

Lewis-Skelly has only just made his first-team debut for Arsenal this season and has continued to develop into a regular starter for the team.

Arteta said: “I’m so proud of him. It’s a big moment for him and for the club to have one of our young players get an England call-up. It’s a big thing. I’m so happy.”

“We are really happy because it’s a really good story and it gives hope to young players that you can change your career for the better in six or seven months.”
