England boss Thomas Tuchel insists Jack Grealish still has a future in the England squad despite not being called up this time around.

The Manchester City midfielder was previously left out of Gareth Southgate’s Euro 2024 squad and, despite returning to caretaker manager Lee Carsley’s squad for แทงบอล UFABET ราคาดีที่สุด ไม่มีขั้นต่ำ the UEFA Nations League, has been left out again.

Tuchel said of Grealish: “I love Jack, I love everything about him. I love his character, I love his quality – he’s brave, he can handle the pressure. He’s not afraid of the boos at the Bernabeu when he gets the ball.

“So is he a player who should be in the team and can make an impact on the team? Yes – 100 per cent. But he has lacked rhythm in the last few games and I agree 100 per cent with that.”

“He said, ‘Listen Tuchel, I’m not a player who comes in and out, so it’s difficult for me to have an impact on the game as a substitute and then come back on the bench and two weeks later I’m starting.’

“I don’t judge anyone, not at all. But it’s a characteristic of Jack. He gets better when he plays regularly. Then he’s a complete machine. And of course he has the character to be a link-up player.”

“It would be easy for young players, for experienced players to bond and be close to him, but this also comes with responsibilities off the pitch and of course it’s not good for him to be in the public press.”

“We want him to be more composed, nobody wants that but that’s not why I don’t pick him. It’s a sport where in his position Anthony Gordon has more pace, plays more, has more intensity and Marcus (Rashford) as well, so those are the two options in front of him.”
